Get a better parking spot: We get it. Waking up in the morning is hard. But you know what’s even harder? Walking all the way from Edgar when the temperatures are below freezing. This resolution has immediate reward, and is the perfect way to start every morning of 2018 off right. Find a new hobby: Use the new year as an excuse to find something new you like to do in your free time, like drawing. Hobbies can be great for stress relief, from cooking or fitness to art or music. Use social media less: We’ve all been there, sitting in front of our homework while we spend hours on our phones browsing through social media. This year, make it a goal to spend fewer late nights and wasted study sessions scrolling through these sites and more time getting things done and spending time with family and friends. Wear sweatpants at least once a week: This one is for your own mental health. If you have at least one day a week to look forward to being comfortable, it will make it much more bearable. This adds so much extra stress during a time that you can use to spend listening to the song on the morning announcements and reflecting on all of your other resolutions.
