Podcast: Rounding out an unforgettable senior year
The Class of 2021 has had one of the most unique and challenging senior years imaginable. From the lack of in-person school, the difficulties with maintaining a strong social life during the pandemic and the challenges of applying to college during the pandemic, this year’s senior class faced many obstacles, however, there were some bright spots.
In his final podcast for Hi’s Eye, Nate Lechner sits down with four of his classmates to discuss the past 14 months, focusing on the challenges we have faced and the lessons we have learned. Although we faced a fair share of adversity during this year, we were able to find some good in the situation, specifically with where we will be going to school next fall.
The podcast ends on a relatively high note by reflecting on our overall time at WHS and what we are looking forward to at the end of the pandemic.
Being able to make podcasts for Hi’s Eye has truly been one of the best experiences of my high school career and I want to thank Mrs. McDonald for giving me the opportunity to take this risk and really find my niche in the journalism world.
From Marvel to the Super Bowl to ‘80s movies, I have been able to talk about so many awesome topics and speak to many incredible people. I am happy that I got to create my last podcast with some of my best friends as we discussed something that we all share, the challenges overcome and strides made during this unprecedented senior year.
