COVID-19, concerts and controversy
With music fans finally able to return to concerts, many questions still remain. Since COVID-19 policies vary from venue to venue, it has become nearly impossible to keep track of what identification and precautions are in place.
WHS senior Vivian Jeckell recently went to a Harry Styles concert at Madison Square Garden recently. She said, “The protocols were very strict which made me feel very safe. I was glad people had to show their vaccine cards and wear masks, and I even saw people get in trouble with security for not following the rules.”
WHS Senior Emily Molen had a different experience at the outdoor Governors Ball Music Festival. She said, “We needed to show proof of vaccination but when you were in you did not need a mask. It almost felt like COVID wasn’t important.”
