How to fit in as a WHS driver

Being a new driver is hard. Especially being a new driver among so many excellent and skilled drivers that roam the streets of Westfield. To help you learn the ropes, here is a step-by-step list to help you become an authentic WHS driver.

Step 1: Be sure to hit the curb when parking in the morning. You have to remember: The curb is there for a reason. Use this to your advantage and be sure to run into, and maybe even over it, to ensure you have a perfect park job.

Step 2: When situating yourself in the spot, be sure to back up until you are no more than one inch from the fender of the car behind you. Any gap between you and the other car is wasted space. Wasted space is not something we tolerate at WHS.

Step 3: Once parked, make sure to leave those headlights on and idle until about 7:20. While you’re at it you might as well just leave those lights on for the rest of the day.

Step 4: Once you exit the vehicle, swing your key lanyard around your fingers until you enter the building. You have to let everyone know that you can drive.

Step 5: Once the day is over, be sure to exit the spot swiftly. If you tap another car, no problem.  We all make mistakes. Just ignore the damage and move on with your day.

Pro Tip: Make sure to park in a teacher’s spot every once in a while. It makes parking a little more exciting, and adds a fun little challenge for whoever’s spot that was.

Hope this helps. If you follow these steps, you should have no problem acclimating to the roads of Westfield, and fitting in with the other drivers.
