About Us
Hi’s Eye is a Westfield High School institution. It was founded in 1935 and continues to this day as an independent, uncensored, student-run newspaper. Our goal is to cover the Westfield community, from our school to our town, and connect it to the world around us. Our reporters and editors have taken three years of journalism classes, and are dedicated to providing thorough coverage with every edition.
Hi’s Eye is a public forum for student expression in which all editorial decisions are made by our staff of student journalists. We welcome letters that are not libelous, irresponsible or obscene; they may be edited for length and style. All letters must be signed by the author, but requests for anonymity will be considered. Editorials represent a majority of the staff’s opinions and are written by multiple authors. Opinion pieces are written by individuals and only represent that individual’s opinion. Hi’s Eye does not necessarily endorse the products advertised in the paper. If you would like to be a guest contributor, email us at [email protected].
