by Caitlyn Tierney
Click here to It’s that time of year again, when there are shouts of “Erin go bragh” and “Kiss me, I’m Irish” everywhere. St. Patrick’s Day is Monday, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate around Westfield. So get out your green gear, and have some fun!
Bridget’s Irish Cottage: Bridget’s is a specialty shop located at 15 East Broad St. in the heart of downtown Westfield. If you’re looking for traditional claddagh & Celtic jewelry, this is the place to go. Bridget’s sells a large selection of Irish merchandise, from Barry’s teas to Aran sweaters. The store is open from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day.
The Kilkenny House Restaurant & Pub: On Sunday and Monday, Kilkenny’s is celebrating St. Paddy’s with a special menu of classic Irish pub fare, including Fish & Chips, Chicken Pot Pie and O’Donovan’s Delight (Irish sausage, mashed potatoes and beans). There are no reservations, so stop by any time after 11:30 a.m. at 122 South Ave. in Cranford.edit.
