​College visits, extensive applications, essay workshops and constant trips to Dunkin Donuts are all part of my first semester experience as a senior.

I have already crossed off UC Santa Cruz, because even though I would love to be a California girl, I don’t see myself as a banana slug. Yellow washes out my skin and a slug doesn’t fit my ferocious personality.

The University of North Carolina is also out–what even is a “tar heel”? And let’s face it–baby blue was so last season.

Heidelberg University is definitely not an option for me anymore. The Student Princes? If they expect me to go this school they’re going to have to make me a princess and that’s final.

Will I ever find the perfect school with the perfect mascot? As of right now I have more than 20 colleges to look at and none of them are a match.

​If all else fails there’s always Delta State University’s Fighting Okra of Cleveland. I heard that green is the new black down south, so this school has made it into my top three.
