Sam Surks is thrilled to be R1’s Well Editor and R4’s Editor-In-Chief on the first-ever Optic staff. Other than in room 111, Sam can be found running with her cross country team, backpacking in the middle of nowhere, sharing Spotify playlists with her friends, or working as a ski instructor at Hunter Mountain. She looks forward to shaping the image of Optic in the upcoming 2020-2021 year with such a talented staff.
